More text to come - too time consuming so only quick comments for now!

Hirzing & Auers
Grandard with Josh - working hard!
And Mum and Josh eating berries - he couldn't get enough!!
Grandad liked how we were running round barefoot most of the time so started doing it too! :-)
Josh and Franzi - the different languages and age gap (Josh 2, Franzi 4) didn't seem to matter. They had lots of fun playing together.
Sascha & Conny wedding
Sascha was my best friend from primary school through to college and every time we catch up (which isn't often!) it feels like we'd only just seen each other. It was pretty special to be at his wedding and we laughed lots and partied late into the night (or should that be late into the morning; 5.30am). Beck and I had never met Conny but were very impressed - we could see why he didn't want to let go of her! :-)

Not surprising that mum 'crashed' on the way home from the wedding after only a couple hours sleep.

Just not sure why Josh did - he went to bed much earlier!!

Venice
Had a fantastic time in Venice. Weather was perfect (in fact probably too hot!) and we explored many little back alleys. Came across some really nice churches and just enjoyed 'getting lost' away from the tourists. Did the touristy things too but weren't as impressed with them as just wandering along canals and just enjoying venice.

View from out hotel - which was across the grand canal from St Marks square. So glad we stayed there rather than on the mainland; venice changes as the sun sets and most tourists head off and you get to see a little more of the 'real' venice.

And looking the other way out of our hotel window.

Most towers in Venice start to lean as the foundations aren't as solid as they really need to be. It's not until you notice one leaning tower that you start looking at all others and indeed find that they are all on more or less of a lean!

Took this photo as we thought of Rex - the doors didn't seem to have a common size, obviously must be custom made rather than bought 'off the shelf'.

Boat builders yard that we came across.
